In the warm months, head out on the water, take in the riverbanks and see familiar views from a whole new angle. If you're lucky, you might even spot a heron! Rowing boats are free. Paddleboards are seasonal and cost extra (ask the front desk for prices).
Skates and skis are free.
“The river and the pier are pure love. The boats are free to take: you row a little way from the shore and enjoy the quiet and nature. It's really, really peaceful here.”
The pier, a campfire and fishing
Our pier is one of the best‑loved spots for watching the sunrise and the sunset. Sit by the water, do some fishing or just enjoy the quiet and the nature around you.
There are fish here, but they have a mind of their own and don't bite easily, so bring your own rods and a little patience.
In the evening you can gather round a campfire on the shore, watch the flames and listen to how quiet it gets.
By the way, the water here is peaty, so it has a natural brownish tint. It's simply how the local nature is.
A skating rink in winter
When the water freezes, we make a skating rink on it. You can borrow skates from us and warm up afterwards in the sauna on the shore.
